GETTING YOUR EVENT LISTED

Community Corner lists what is happening across Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. It is free to be listed, and a clear submission goes up straight away.

Submit an event

What we need

The name of the event, written the way people would say it.
The date, and the start time if there is one.
The county, and the town and venue where it happens. Say if it is online.
What it costs, or that it is free.
A sentence or two about what it actually is.
A link people can go to for details or tickets.
Who is running it, and your own name, email or phone so we can check something if we need to.

Your contact details are never shown on the site. They are only so we can reach you.

What publishes straight away

If the name, date, county and a link are all there and clear, the listing publishes as soon as you submit it. You do not have to wait for us.

What we hold for a look

Some submissions land in our queue instead of publishing, and we sort them by hand. That happens when the date is vague or already past, when the county or venue is missing, when it looks like the same event is already listed from somewhere else, or when it reads more like an advert than an event. We are not rejecting it, we just want to check it before it goes up.

What we do not list

Ongoing business hours, permanent specials and standing sales with no event date.
Job postings, items for sale and rental listings.
Fundraising appeals with no event attached.
Events outside the four counties, unless they are clearly aimed at people here.
Anything hateful, harassing, misleading or unlawful.
Adult events, unless they carry a clear age restriction and stay plainly described.

Political and religious events are welcome as events. We list what is happening and we do not take sides in what is said there.

Editing and deadlines

We may tidy a title, shorten a description or fix a town so listings read the same way across the site. We do not change what your event is. Submit at least a week ahead if you can, and earlier if you would like it considered for a mention on air. A listing is not a promise of a radio mention.

Cancelled, moved or wrong

Tell us. Every listing has a report link on its own page, and it reaches our staff queue. We can mark a date cancelled or postponed with a short note, correct the details or take the listing down. If a cancelled event had been picked for the radio, marking it here also pulls it from the script.

Being listed is not a sponsorship

Listings are free and are not paid placements. If you want a paid spot, that is separate and always labelled. See the media kit or apply to sponsor.
