If you sign up we store your email address, your first name if you gave one, the counties you picked, where on the site you signed up, the date you signed up and the exact wording you agreed to, which is this:

Yes, email me the Weekly Community Roundup from Real Estate Jerky: Local events, one home tip and a quick market update, once a week. No other mail, and every issue has an unsubscribe link.

We use it to send you that one weekly email and nothing else. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link that works straight away. Once you unsubscribe we keep your address on a do-not-mail record so a later signup cannot quietly put you back on the list. We do not sell, rent or share the list.

Submitting an event

Event details you submit are meant to be public, and clear submissions publish on Community Corner. Your own name and email are kept separately and are never shown on the site. We use them only to come back to you if something about the listing needs checking.

Reporting a correction

If you tell us a listing is wrong, cancelled or moved, we store your note and, if you gave one, your email so we can reply. Notes are read by our staff, not published.

Applying to sponsor

A sponsor application stores the business name, your name, email, phone, website, the counties and service area you serve, the dates you are interested in and anything you typed in the message. It goes to our inbox and stays in our staff area so we can follow up. It is business contact information for a business conversation, and it goes no further.

Nominating a business

A nomination stores the business you named, why you named it and your own name and email if you gave them, so we can ask a follow-up question. Nothing about you appears on the site.

Other services on our pages

• The booking calendar for recording sessions is run by GoHighLevel. What you type into it goes to them and to us, under their terms.
• The featured video player is YouTube, and episode audio is hosted by Libsyn. Loading them means your browser talks to those companies, and they may set their own cookies.
• Sponsor links count a click so we can tell a sponsor their spot is working. We record the placement and the time, not who clicked.
• The audio player remembers the episode and position on your own device so you can pick up where you left off. That stays in your browser and never reaches us. Clearing your browser data clears it.

How we count visits

We run our own simple counting so we know which pages, episodes and sponsor spots people use. It stays on our own system and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

• We count things like pages opened, how far a page was scrolled, episodes played and how much was heard, clicks on sponsor credits, links and buttons, how fast a page loaded, and the name of the site that sent you here (for example google.com).
• We do not record your name, email, phone number, internet address or device, and we do not use cookies or any hidden ID to recognize you on a later visit.
• Sponsors may see totals, like how many times their credit was shown or clicked. They never see anything about a single visitor.
• If your browser is set to ask sites not to track you, we count nothing.
• Nothing is counted until you press Accept on the notice at the bottom of the page. Press "No thanks" and we count nothing. Change your choice

Facebook, Instagram and Google ads and analytics

We use the Meta Pixel so Meta (Facebook and Instagram) can tell us how many people visit the site and send a form after seeing our ads. We also use the Google tag for Google Analytics and Google Ads, which does the same for Google. Both note the pages you open and that a form was sent. We never pass Meta or Google your name, email, phone number or anything else you type into a form. Meta and Google may set their own cookies.

• If you are in Europe or the UK, the Meta Pixel and the Google tag stay off until you press Accept on the notice at the bottom of the page. Press "No thanks" and they never load.
• Everywhere else they load straight away unless you press "No thanks" or your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Pressing "No thanks" later stops them for the rest of your visit and on later visits.
• Everywhere else, the Meta Pixel and the Google tag run when the page opens.
• We also use Microsoft Clarity, which makes session recordings and heatmaps of how pages are scrolled and clicked so we can fix confusing spots. All text is masked, and nothing you type into a form is ever recorded. In Europe or the UK it waits for Accept like the tools above. You can turn it off with the cookie notice, and Microsoft explains its own handling at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
• We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which helps us measure our LinkedIn ads and show our ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited the site. We never pass LinkedIn anything you type into a form. In Europe or the UK it waits for Accept like the tools above. You can opt out at linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.
• You can turn off ads based on your activity in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and for Google at adssettings.google.com.

Getting your details removed

Email radio@realestatejerky.com and tell us what you want removed. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it and confirm back to you. You do not need a reason and there is no charge.

California residents: we do not sell your personal information for money. The Meta, Google and LinkedIn tags described above help us measure and show our ads, and you can turn them off by pressing No thanks on the cookie notice or by turning on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser, which the site treats as a No thanks. The same email address handles any other request.

How long we keep things

We keep records only as long as we need them, then delete them.

• Roundup signups: while you are on the list, then 12 months after you unsubscribe so we can show what you agreed to if a question comes up, then deleted.
• Event submissions and correction reports: the published listing stays as a public record of what was on, but the submitter name and email are deleted 12 months after the event date.
• Sponsor applications: 24 months from our last contact if we did not work together. For businesses we did work with, billing and contract records are kept 7 years because tax rules require it.
• Business nominations: 12 months after we have dealt with them.

You can ask us to delete anything sooner. Email radio@realestatejerky.com and we will do it and confirm back.
